We've heard from the veterans. But what about their kids? Random Rants from Kids of Vets is the podcast that gives voice to the children who grew up in military households — experiencing the deployments, the distance, the homecomings, and the aftermath from the other side of the door.
These are not stories about perfect military families. These are real stories about what it was like to love a parent who was changed by war — and what it took to understand them, forgive them, or just survive living with them.

Why This Podcast Exists
Veterans talk about their trauma. Rarely does anyone ask their kids. The children of veterans carry wounds they were never given language for. They watched a parent go to war. They watched a different person come home. They loved someone through PTSD, alcoholism, anger, and distance — and nobody gave them a medal for that.
This podcast gives them the microphone. And it creates a bridge — so veterans can finally hear what their service meant to the people who waited for them to come home.
