THE ARTIST
The first full Shadow Studio exhibition from Kali Kryst.
Kali Kryst builds paintings as portals — layered surfaces of color, text, and symbol that only fully reveal themselves when the lights go down. In The Shadow Studio, each piece holds a second image in UV-reactive paint, waiting underneath the surface.
Her work sits at the intersection of grief ritual, dreamwork, and street iconography. The canvases are built to be lived with: they shift with the room, the time of day, and the people standing in front of them.
Into the Light gathers this body of work into a single, low-light room. You’re invited to stand inside the paintings as they change.
